SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE/UPGRADE OPERATION
UPDATE: All works completed successfully
Due to infrastructure maintenance and upgrades, the ~okeanos service will be disrupted between 09:00 and 12:00 EET on Wednesday, December 23.
Any running Cyclades VMs will be temporarily shut down during maintenance and automatically restarted afterwards.
The Cyclades and Pithos Web UI and APIs will also be inaccessible in the above timeframe.The upgrades are necessary to improve our services.

IMPORTANT MAINTENANCE/UPGRADE OPERATION
A major upgrade has been made available in the software running our VM infrastructure.
The new version has many performance and security enhancements.
You must restart, using our API or the UI, your VM(s) in order to start using the new version.IMPORTANT : This Friday (22/May/2015) we will restart all VMs that will be using the old version of the virtualization software.
The upgrade involves the Qemu-kvm package (from version 2.0.0+dfsg-4 to 2.1+dfsg-12)

ARCHIPELAGO CAP
Our fast and reliable network object storage Archipelago is thriving. About 60% (over 3000) of the running VMs use Archipelago.This is very encouraging for us, spurring us to go further with our storage innovation plans.
At the same time, it means that we are getting close to our current maximum capacity set aside for Archipelago storage.To ensure the stability and the performance of the currently running VMs, and of the service as a whole, we need to stabilise our storage demands. DATACENTER UPGRADE WORKS
UPDATE: Upgrade works completed successfully
The ~okeanos datacenter will undergo an upgrade period on January 21. The upgrade will start at 17:00 EET and we expect it to last 5 hours, until 22:00 EET.
It is possible that during this period ~okeanos services (Cyclades, Pithos+) may be affected.The upgrade works are necessary in order to address problems in our routers software and the activation of new features that will improve our services.

POWER UPGRADE WORKS
UPDATE: Upgrade works completed successfully
Due to extended power upgrade works in our datacenter, the ~okeanos service will be disrupted between 07:00 EET and 23:30 EET on Saturday, December 13. The running Cyclades VMs will be temporary shut down during the planned maintenance, and they will be automatically restarted when works end. The planned works are not expected to affect Pithos+.
Note that if you have long running jobs or services you should ensure that they are at a stable state before the upgrade. To do that you can shut them down pro-actively before 07:00 EET, Saturday, December 13.
